Standard: EN 12697-1
Asphaltanalysator for extraction and binder determination of bituminous materials within a closed system using non-inflammable solvents.
Bituminous materials (up to 3.5 kg) is weighed into a sieve drum, placed into the washing chamber and then automatically washed by means of solvents and ultrasonic. The number of 2 up to 19 washing cycles can be preselected depending on the type of material. Minerals are left in the sieve drum whereas binder, solvents and fillers are washed out and separated in the connected centrifuge. Filler is retained in the centrifuge cup whereas binder and solvent are separated in the connected recovery still by distillation.
Solvents are reused. After washing out, the minerals and fillers are dried automatically, and after completion of the program the process can be continued with sieve analysis.
Main advantages of asphaltanalysator are the quick extraction time of approx. 35 to 45 minutes including drying and the considerably reduced ecological damage because of solvent loss < 20 ml per extraction.
Use with non-flammable solvents as trichloroethylene, tetrachloroethylene and dichloromethane (methylene dichloride).
Available models and configurations:
- For extraction and binder determination of bituminous materials within a closed system using non-inflammable solvents.
20-11000 Asphaltanalysator T
- Computer controlled and operated via touch panel for the extraction and binder determination of bituminous materials within a closed system using non-inflammable solvents.
20-11100 Asphaltanalysator PG
- For the extraction and determination of binder content in rubber modified bituminous mixtures in use with not flammable solvents. The extraction and distillation is PC controlled. Every step of the extraction is shown on the large intuitive understanding Touchpanel of the Asphaltanalysator. The user can program and storage his own test procedures in use with the different bituminous mixtures.
